The SolarWall Foundation supported the installation of a SolarDuct® rooftop system to help reduce the food bank’s heating costs, which ensures that all possible resources will be directing at serving the community. Download the Case Study  for more information.

Solar heating systems offer numerous benefits, including large reductions in conventional heating costs, GHG reductions, improved indoor air quality, architectural versatility in the system appearance, LEED® points, and a 30+ year lifespan for the system with no maintenance.

Donations to the SolarWall Foundation will support evaluation and installation of solar heating on a wide range of projects, from hospitals to schools to community centres and other not-for-profits.

Projects Supported

The SolarWall Foundation has supported the following:

New Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital during its building campaign, the first hospital to be built in the City of Vaughan, and the first net new hospital to be built in Ontario in more than 30 years.

Ongoing supporter for “Save the Oak Ridges Moraine in King Township”.

King City cultural Centre

The SolarWall Foundation receives donations from individuals and corporations which are pooled together with existing funds to finance a solar project. Donors at the Silver and Gold levels may request that their funds be allocated to a specific project.

The Trustees of  The SolarWall Foundation will select suitable recipients for a solar system and then make arrangements with each recipient to initiate a project. Funds are transferred to the recipient once a contract has been signed between the recipient and Conserval Engineering Inc.

Conserval looks after the entire process including initial evaluation, building selection, equipment procurement, installation and final commissioning.
